Hi, I’m Jennifer (Jen) Brum, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #16540) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #11252437) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and a Counselling Therapist (CT #3205) with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta. I’ve been in private practice since 2016, and over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults through a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship dynamics, and life transitions.
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and EMDR-trained therapist, I work with the body’s natural responses to stress and trauma, offering a gentle, grounded approach to healing. My style is relational, integrative, and trauma-informed—always tailored to what feels right for each person I work with. I deeply believe that healing happens through connection, compassion, and curiosity.
When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me enjoying time with friends and family on the West Coast, skiing, painting, or out walking by the ocean or in the woods—where I feel most at home.
